What does your package include?
My package includes:
initial meeting for Notice of Intended Marriage lodgement
in person meeting to discuss ceremony
custom wedding ceremony drafted to your needs
performance of the wedding ceremony
use of my audio equipment for the ceremony, including music up to a half hour before and after the ceremony
post wedding lodging of documents
travel to and from venue (up to one hour each way from Geelong, reasonable charge above that)
Can we write our own vows?
Definitely! The best part of having a celebrant is you can tailor your ceremony exactly to what you want. As long as a few legally-required words are included, you can say anything else you'd like.
I have a fun questionnaire that's full of prompts which can help us capture your favourite memories, stories, and things you love about each other to include in the ceremony. We can keep any personalised vows separate so you have a little surprise for each other on the day!
Most couples are leaning towards 'Declarations of Love' vs. custom vows; you can do either, both, or neither!
How many weddings do you do in a day?
I only perform one ceremony per day. The day of a wedding is as important to me as it is to you or your guests. Would you attend two weddings in one day?
Limiting dates to one booking allows me to give you my complete focus and attention; you will have the entirety of my energy instead of me keeping some in reserve for someone else's event.
Do you provide a P.A. system?
Absolutely! I pride myself on being one of the best celebrants and my equipment has to be up to the task.
I use a high-quality Bose S1 Pro speaker coupled with German-engineered Sennheiser microphones. The entire system is professional grade and completely wireless. They are in line with the latest Australian digital frequency requirements ensuring no interference from TV signals.
I can organise and play any music you like via Bluetooth during the ceremony as well--just share your favourite Spotify playlist!
What documents do you need?
Nothing! At least inititally.
The process begins with a Google form I send you which will help populate the Notice of Intended Marriage.
If you are getting married for the first time and are over 18, generally I would only need to sight your driver's licence, passport, or birth certificate + photo ID to verify your identity.
Depending on your circumstances, I may also need to sight originals of divorce certicates, death certificates, and other documents. But I promise whatever documents are needed, I'll make the whole process easy and fun.
